President Dwight D. Eisenhower once warned about money from the "military-industrial" complex. Though this article doesn't make the connection, other media coverage has noted that health insurance donations make a difference in congressional votes. Since this is virtually our only viable export industry, and we are clearly by this report the industry leader, it makes sense that we continue to perpetuate war around the globe.

Important information, but Shanker could have taken it further.
