Road to e-voting crisis paved with money, good intentions

However, a Maryland voting activist organization, SAVEOurVotes.org, has released a report [PDF] on the costs of e-voting that (quite unintentionally) provides a useful and vivid illustration of exactly how and why we arrived at the present point. As I read this I thought of all the details that it missed. But the core argument that it makes it well founded, it provides good evidence, and is easy to read.
