This is an informative attack piece on Monsanto. While it's been well-researched, the authors begin and end the piece trying to paint Monsanto as evil. I don't doubt the claims made against the company, they don't contextualize Monsanto's behavior in corporate/legal environment they are operating in. Monsanto is doing what a public company is supposed to do - defend infringement of it's intellectual property - albeit not very gracefully. Now, if more attention had been paid to Monsanto's lobbying efforts in Washington to prop an fair IP regime - that's a story.
