Mobile phones 'more dangerous than smoking'

Mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. This was a fairly interesting story. The one problem I had with it was that it never said how cell phones are causing cancer, only that excessive cell phone use is 'linked' to brain cancer. This leaves me a little skeptical as to how this researcher knows that cell phones cause brain cancer.
