Interesting story on Louise Becker's Islamic Women's Center for Research and Encouragement, a Muslim theology center run by women in Germany -- which combines religious theory with a help hotline and counseling center. This report provides plenty of factual evidence and is well sourced, though it generally seems to favor this initiative -- understandably, in my view, because this unique approach seems quite effective in helping Muslim women cope with serious issues such as re-examining their faith or sexual orientation, or addressing domestic violence, without fear of reprisal.
