[Full disclosure: I'm a gay man, a Democrat (proud Liberal really) and I live in Florida. I am a former donor to the DNC. Feeling disenfranchised by my party for which I have served in multiple campaigns, and having a party chairman (Dean) who has fumbled relations with the LGBT community so badly is causing me to completely reconsider my affiliation with the Democratic Party.] This is a story that has been covered by LGBT media for some time and appears to finally be getting an airing in the mainstream press. This seems to be a fair and non-biased look at the facts.
