This article clearly differentiates between trafficking and prostitution. It also describes what is needed in the way of laws and enforcement to bring an end to trafficking and the reasons for legalizing the world’s oldest profession. While somewhat awkward in its style, the article brings up an important distinction between trafficking and prostitution, explaining how trafficking applies to other types of work as well. Sex work, however, is an extremely difficult, diverse and contentious topic to discuss, with not every worker being coerced or compelled into the profession in the manner that Thukral contends (nor for the reasons.) Also points out the irony of Spitzer's aggressive policies aimed at the clients of sex workers.
