Feldmann makes an implicit assumption that the Republicans meant to cooperate on health care, rather than carrying a covert agenda of stalling any bill and eventually killing it. She treats the rowdy town-hall meetings as though they were grass roots, rather than the self-licking cone of the republican party recruiting rowdies, and then citing them as a reason to be obstructionists.

Republicans opposed medicare, republicans opposed Clinton health care, they are opposing 2009 health care. Any dreamy Obama idea of bipartisan healthcare reform was a misleading false hope.
