These two articles by Chuck Hagel and Wesley Clark raise my esteem for the Washington Monthly. I wish their message could be broadcast throughout the MSM. Most people, like most NeoCons, apparently, still believe torture is acceptable because it gives us a better intelligence capability. Voter knowledge that the opposite is true, and that torture is encouraging warfare against the U.S., would quickly reverse our foreign policy.
