Dick Cheney on Fox News Sunday And the CIA

Cheney is saying he does not object to the rogue behavior of CIA agents who went beyond their legal mandate. (In the same interview, Cheney says that the Bush Justice Department found there was nothing "improper or illegal" in this behavior, a determination that is now under review by the Obama Justice Department.) the article lacks cohesiveness of thought, jumping back and forth between topics. it seems as if tmr. scherer is attempting to be fair by using v.p. cheney's own words, but he weights them and analyzes them perhaps incaccurately. in example, one answer "i am" to one question in the interview is projected to an apparent extreme.

while i share the writer's perspectives generally on v.p. cheney's views on the interrogation methods, this article in my view doesn't aid in persuading his case.
