The chatty tone of the article was distracting at times, but the claims are well-supported, and I came away feeling more broadly informed about the politics surrounding Kagan's nomination.

While the facts given seem to be correct, the facts that were not given, such as Kagan's opinion in support of Monsanto, which was written for the Obama administration, might lead one to other conclusions. While the statement that Obama wants primarily to get re-elected may be the most accurate one given, but the evidence in support of it seems to have been left out.

President Obama's judicial philosophy is somehow described by Dahlia Lithwick in the 7th paragraph of the story, and it is the time only can say, if appointed, Mrs Kagan is the right choice or not. However, judiciary is a political institution, and judges as well.
