This article was a synopsis of of just released information by the Obama administration.

It is stated or assume that the reason for these detention centers was to gather information to help prevent further terrorist attacks. I seriously doubt that this was the main reason. To me this happened a pure torture because they could get away with it. I am waiting for a journalist(s) to tackle this angle.
