Informative notes from the TED conference about InSTEDD (innovative Support to Emergencies Diseases and Disasters), an initiative backed by Google.org. Besides reporting on Larry Brilliant and Eric Rasmussen's speeches, the author also provides many helpful links to factual evidence and credible information about this project, which aims to support 'emergent strategic collaboration' through an advanced communication system including SMS, GPS and inflatable satellite links. I would like to hear independent perspectives about this project, but learned quite a bit already from this blog post.
