The story explains Texas primary and caucus function and by counting the total delegates awarded has determined that Obama won Texas, contrary to the big right corporate media coverage with talking heads, multiple triple panels, and world-fancy computers and graphics. There is no mention of the effect of reported Limbaugh-incited party switching by Republicans to vote for Clinton in order to try to get an easier Democratic opponent for McCain. If that were 3% of the vote it would have swung the popular vote away from Obama via Republican dirty tricks. One report suggested 10% of Ohio republicans crossed over.

Personally, I make up my mind about candidates at least 6 months before an election, and ignore anything after. Looks like I made the right choice again.

This is not only an informed look at the Texas caucus process, it is also a reasonable criticism of major media's need to declare a winner as soon as possible. As a result, even though Obama now seems to have won the greater number of Texas delegates, as far as the general public knows, Clinton won Texas.
