If the left had the next election in the bag they would not have to write long and spurious essays claiming that the American people are ready to revolt. The author lives in a fantasy world where conservative plutocrats rule the poor masses. Even 1917 Russia was not like that. Contrary to the author's fantasy, the American people and illegal aliens are doing quite well thank you. The only time the moderate left has won a presidential election was when they pretended to be conservative (1976, 1992, 1996) and the opposition was very weak (Ford, Bush elder and Dole). Obama is going to have to turn very hard to the right to have any chance of winning and McCain is going to have to screw up badly. This is possible, but no sure thing. The reality is that the left in America represents a bureaucratic elite that yearns for importance and some client groups such as blacks. The only revolutions in America are spoiled brat revolutions, such as the 60's.
