It seemed to be in depth.

From all that I have heard and read Afghanistan is quite corrupt and always has been. The election results will be viewed with mistrust. Karzai is out for himself so I would expect him to come out the winner. The US has no chance to turn Afghanistan or Iraq into a western style democracy.
