excellent journalism; well sourced, written, and balanced. ". Flossman says all data regarding the placement of the fence is classified because "you don't want to tell the very people you're trying to keep from coming across the methodology used to deter them."--- is about as good bovine excrement as one will ever find.

A good article supported by hard research. Of course Homeland Security isn't responding. What can it say that makes intelligence out of yet another example of Bushies pandering to their rich buddies and special interest masters? Still, someone should have said something. Their lack of logic and reasoning has never stopped this bunch before. Isn't it Bush who's always raising threats about America's security?

An excellent example of actual investigative journalism: rather than taking statements by government and industry representatives at face value, this reporter has done the legwork to double-check their stories. The story of the search for answers re the fence's route is instructive, even though no solid answers are found.

Interesting article about what is really behind the border fence that will be constructed on the Texas/Mexico border. The writer had trouble getting much out of the DHS and the federal government. It would have made for a more informative, less biased piece if they were able to extract more information from them and hear the full story from both sides of the fence (pun intended).
