This piece digs in to the root causes of the current conflict in Afghanistan both internally and internationally. It encourages thinking about potential solutions to the Afghani/Pakistani tribal wars outside of the current foreign policy-makers' positions, based on a more realistic understanding of the key drivers of the conflict.
