The 17 examples of "coincidental" relationships between Terror Alert! and some political event that each distracted from, may or may not amount to some Bushite Plots, but no corroborating evidence was given. That said, Wag-The-Dog has been played by Reagan, elder Bush, Clinton, now GW, so it's only news in that this administration has used Fear! so very well. Also use Friday afternoons to make otherwise controversial announcements, and recesses to appoint unpopular officials to important posts.

Excellent journalism as it is timely, very well sourced, and is pertinent to the current debate regarding warrantless wire tapping.
