The Gertler Steinmetz Bling Bang Torah Gang

Frankly this looks very dubious, not well sourced, definitely biased, and bordering on major anti semitism. Frankly I very much doubt that the Lubavitcher and Condoleeza are personal friends - as I doubt a lot of the rest of it. Sure, there are undoubtedly Israelis involved in the Congo - but there are also Brits, Frenchmen, South Africans, Egyptians, - anyone who wants to make a fast buck from chaos! Let's try to get a little more selective in what we put up for review, please.

If it is true, it is good journalism. CIA and corporate warlords plundering Africa via gatekeepers and puppet dictators very seldom gets serious coverage in the American right wing corporate press, so it is hard for most people to separate fact from fiction on this subject. The allegations here are boggling.

Well researched and documented, this story gives more background on the genocides in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries in the Congo region of Africa than any other I've seen--perhaps more than I wanted to know. Snow names names, kicks ass, and explains how the details fit into the bigger picture. The footnotes section is about as long as the story itself.

The story is an undocumented conspiracy theory with strong anti-semitic implications. All the usual conspirators, including Jewish people and the CIA, are included. Many critical claims are undocumented. For example, the first paragraph claims someone "was the unofficial ambassador to the Congo (Zaire) for years, always working the CIA and Mobutu to instill terror and steal minerals". The author offers no support for this claim. On just the first page, are claims supported only by "personal interview" (with no additional information), by the author's other writings, by websites with no credibility, or links to non-existent articles. This unsupported, conspiratorial material does not belong on NewsTrust.
