This is a trap the Administration set for itself. Mr. Obama and his team have attempted to appease their political left by publicly denouncing the Bush Administration's national security policies, even as they claimed to want to forget the past. Biased blather. The article ignores U.S. and international law that requires prosecution for all torture, whether given fake legal cover or not. Sounds like it could be ghost written by Cheney.

Prosecuting low-level people and leaving the chief criminals untouched would be it's own special kind of crime.
