For what it's worth, here's "tracking poll" evidence that confirms what we already knew -- a fluid Democratic race in recent days, perhaps because Democrats are being asked to choose between two attractive options. Obama is reducing Clinton's national lead quickly.and "John Edwards' departure from the race has aided the tightening of the race." But relying on "the latest three-day rolling average" can be a tricky business...

This is an interesting story, but hardly great -- or even very good -- journalism. It is technically sufficient as writing, but the writing doesn't force the reader from paragraph to paragraph. It is the information that draws -- and keeps -- the reader.
