Good background information on culture, economics, and stability concerning the two highest population nation states. Not to much on current news.

Many excellent statistics, facts and figures to demonstrate that commonly held "myths" about the growth of the economies in China and India. However, a comment to the post notes that the societal factors--ones that are cultural rather than statistical--are not figured into economic growth equations. When one is looking mostly at hard statistics, it is difficult to balance the "soft" (yet just as important) cultural factors.
