Abdullah alleges rigging in Afghan poll
The main rival to President Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan’s presidential election accused the government of widespread rigging on Saturday but said he would use legal means to seek redress and not urge his supporters onto the streets.
Abdullah Abdullah, who once served Mr Karzai as foreign minister, said preliminary results due in the next few days would reveal whether government officials had succeeded in their attempts to manipulate the vote.
