the writer lays out how elusive are the factors involved in the apparent stalling of the president's efforts to pass health care reform, from letting it begin with congress, to his own lack of commitment to a specific plan, the diversity of democrats' opinions, to the end of summer punditry. he doesn't discuss the corporate end, nor the republican view .
