How the Pentagon planted a false story

The source of this spate of stories can now be identified as Bryan Whitman, the top Pentagon official in charge of media relations, who gave a press briefing for Pentagon correspondents that morning. Good as far as it goes. I wonder why no one asks what the US Navy is doing, other than trying to provoke trouble, in the water near Iran. How would the people of Boston or Miami feel if a large number of fully armed war ships were cruising just on the edge of the international border. A little more background and a description of the daily condition might make the overall situation more clear. When will the lairs prosecution begin?
