Breaking the Sound Barrier: Democracy Now! Re-Hosts NBC Las Vegas Debate to Include Kucinich After NBC Wins Appeal to Exclude Him

Tuesday night, less than an hour before the debate, the Nevada Supreme Court sided with NBC. Democracy Now! decided to break the sound barrier and give Kucinich a chance to take part. In an exclusive broadcast, we re-broadcast excerpts of the debate and give the Ohio Congressman a chance to answer the questions he might have faced if he hadn't been silenced. Full Story »

Democracy Now uses an innovative programming idea to un-gag the Kucinich campaign in stark contrast to the military-media-industrial complex represented by MSNBC. No wonder MSNBC gagged him! He thinks the airwaves belong to the public and the FCC licenses require TV networks to serve the public by providing an open forum for all voices in the political debate. And he is for peace! Must be gagged. Never mind the 80% of progressives who agree with 80% of what he says.

Thank goodness for Amy Goodman and Democracy Now to give America an opportunity to hear a view that the majority of media sources are trying extremely hard to silence. Dennis (He who the Media shall never mention) Kucinich is a refreshing voice which the majority of Americans have not been permitted to hear. The differences between Kucinich and the three media favorites have not been allowed to be shown much so far in this presidential race, so it was good that Democracy Now made this short opportunity for Dennis to answer the same topics the other three Democratic candidates spoke on in the debate. It would have also been nice if more time had been given to Dennis Kucinich to tell more of his views.

It has become a mouthpiece for corporate interests. Hooray for the bloggers and the revolutionaries! We desperately need more of them and less of the likes of GE's interest.
