Interesting report on the growing role women are playing in this year's primaries, with higher-than-usual turnouts that are shifting the political balance towards democrats. Informative and fair overview, based on good factual evidence.

With all due respect to all the great female journalists out there, it's refreshing to have a male voice in the mix--let alone on a women's website.

I found two items of interest, first, a statistic that illustrates the room for the influence of this group to grow, if it begins to vote in larger numbers: "According to census data, 46 percent of voting-age women nationwide are unmarried, but they made up just 22.4 percent of the electorate in 2004 and 19 percent in 2000." Second, the analysis of the effect of Edwards on the Clinton vote in Iowa vs. NH. But this is of interest mainly for those interested in political science and involved in campaigns.
