This blog post acts as a eulogy to the late, reknowned and controversial Italian interviewer. It is both informative and well-written.

A small tribute article to a journalism warrior woman who fought all her life for what she believed in with absolute devotion and sincerity. Despite the controversy around her statements or beliefs, she can be meditated of as a model in journalism, a topic fond of the very objective of the NT project.

Tuning in late to an obituary on the radio, I recognized Oriana Fallaci’s famous and infamous career at once. Pearson’s tribute will clue in those who might not remember firsthand what a presence she was in the 1970s. Here is her famous interview with Kissinger, proof that even the most worldlywise are dying to give themselves away; her confrontation with The Ayatollah (there seemed to be only one, back then); and her less than meritorious remarks on Islam. As with many who hold strong opinions, as she grew older Fallaci grew more dogmatic, painting broader strokes with a bigger and bigger brush; but she seems to have found her role as gadfly fulfilling---in its way as revealing as the personal revelations she shunned. ...
