Doesn't the California Legislature watch 'Glee'?

The California Legislature is moving ahead on a foolish bill that says students who attend career and technical education high schools have to take all subjects regularly required for graduation -- with the notable exception of arts instruction. The Full Story »

The headline and article are somewhat mismatched and it is short even by USA Today standards, the arguments are made with no facts or findings to back then up.

Not every child needs or will go to college, but every child deserves to have an education that prepares them for the world they will enter into. Not every profession requires a degree, but they all require training, by failing to provide the necessary foundations for all types of students we rob not only them of a valid education, but ourselves and our greater society.

This position piece is highly biased as apparent in the author's reliance upon twisted facts and one-sided overstatements to support his position. Examples of partiality include him not acknowledging that Career Technology Education (CTE) students are currently being denied access to CTE courses, excluding CTE from what he calls "a full education," and downplaying that foreign language courses are also being impacted by the bill.
