What is missing is any outside voices, whether from those opposing immunity on the left, right and center (i.e. EFF, ACLU, Cato, John Birch, American Freedom Agenda and tje Constitution Project, ) or those supporting it (Bush administration, telephone companies, etc.) The story lacks coverage of the criticism of Reid for not honoring Chris Dodd's hold, which unlike those placed secretly, was announced.
