this piece is essentially a list, a list of books by women in this last year and a brief account of what each is about. yet, as a woman it seems more than that. the prizes and the topics of other books mentioned speak for themselves that women are coming into 'the limelight' , getting published and more recognized for what they offer all of us. perhaps not enough yet in this country to elect one president. nevertheless, it may be a foretaste of true equality.
