I wouldn't exactly call it quality journalism, but it is a good opinion piece with only the inaccuracy of assuming more benefit for prostate screening than has been proven. Could have been improved with discussion of the public option, better negotiation of pharmaceutical costs, and mention of the benefits of access to primary care physicians and of the Patient-Cemtered Medical Home.

As a physician, I was appalled when my daughter, who had only one hospitalization, at age 3, for asthma, was denied insurance because she was on steroids for months during the winter after 9/11 when the air quality in NYC was abominable. This is ridiculous.
