As a press release, this article is of course one-sided. I'd like to see a news article that includes some balance and more responses from the various groups of people affected. However, this piece is important in calling to attention two stories that seem to be flying under the radar: one, international criticism of the lack of basic labor rights for public workers in North Carolina; and two, the unusual step being taken by Mexico of using a trade agreement to attempt to enforce (not undermine) labor rights.
