Slight brush with an outrageous situation. The history of this problem and the administrations oblivious and criminal negligence in dealing with mercenaries shows the empathy the ny times has with the cowboys of Bush. Was the president powerless to act? Do legal scholars have opinions? Do murder victims and their families have a right to a day in court? Is the USA a nation which believes in justice?
