A bit sensationalist in the title and leadin, the story looks at real root problems leftover from Bush efforts to defund cleanup.

No mention of Hanford here, the biggest toxic waste dump of them all.

A tax on petroleum, chemicals and large companies once helped EPA pay for the multimillion dollar cleanups. It expired in 1995 and Superfund has been on financial life support since.

A Bush legacy.
