It's hard taking this seriously when I'm so aware of where David Carr stands on this issue. Carr is obsessed with the idea that those ungrateful readers must pay -- or else! -- but well aware that his newspaper doesn't have the gusto to start charging for online content again. So he turns to Rupert Murdoch to save the day. A decent story; a bit disingenuous.
