An opinion piece from one of the best. Radical fringe militia groups sincerely believing they’re soldiers of Jesus against evil government–and therefore are justified using any violence to "take back their country"–have a long history in America. But this time there’s a huge difference: their justifications are incited by irresponsible right-wing media “personalities” and the equally irresponsible Republican leadership.

“Taking back our country.” From whom? From minority groups who are fast becoming majorities and no longer can be subjugated?

The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day — and, quite regularly, at Tea Party rallies — is calibrated not to inform but to incite.
