This reads like an advertisement prepared by the far-out wing of the Democratic Party. It has no connection to reality. George Bush is not responsible for the damage done by Hurricane Katrina; if anyone it is his predecessor Bill Clinton, whose administration ignored recommendations to improve the systems protecting New Orleans. The fact is that the Governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans bear most of the responsibility for the current problems. Law enforecement in New Orleans is incomptent and directly to blame for many of the difficulties faced by those who have returned there. Mississippi, on the other hand, even though it was hit by the major force of Katrina, has done much better at cleaning up and rebuilding. A competent governor in that state is one reason. Likewise, Florida, which was hit by four major hurricanes in 2004, has done much better at rebuilding, thanks in part to a capable governor.
