The invasion was never ethical nor legal. The military objective as morphed from rooting out al-Qaeda to rooting out the Taliban in a civil war against a corrupt puppet government in Kabul. Obama's strange obsession with Afghanistan threatens to lead the US down the same path as Britain and Russia found.
