Say no to new nuclear weapons

Congress should prevent the Bush administration from building weapons of mass destruction.

Today and Thursday, as we mark the anniversaries of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it is fitting that we take a moment out of our busy Maine summers to remember the hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians who perished on Aug. 6 and Aug. 9, 1945.

As the crazed politicians (spreading accross both parties, unfortunately) support and finance new nuclear weapons, often secretively, this story once again speaks out for the sanity and health of the people of the planet.
