Maybe he didn't write the headline: "Al Qaeda is guilty of monstrosities in Iraq - no matter what anyone says." But he did write this sentence: "Anyone who says Al Qaeda is not one of the primary problems in Iraq is simply ignorant of the facts." Typical Michael Yon...Setting up red herrings (a logical fallacy in which one purports to prove one's point by means of irrelevant arguments) such as these! Who are these nefarious people going around saying these things? To Yon, only one person has "the requisite credibility" to tell us 'the truth' about Iraq--General Petraeus...

Michael Yon with some more good news out of Iraq. This is his opinion, but he has the credentials to give one. Our Senators would do well to listen to someone like Yon.

Michael Yon is one hell of a good war correspondent. He is actually on the ground with the troops, seeing what is really happening. His stories are based on first hand observation which makes them better than the stuff local stringers pass on the MSM reporters holed up in the green zone.
