Fair, thorough, enterprising and in context - that's what we're looking for in the journalism we read, isn't it? At a time when shallow ranting takes up so much space in public discourse, a new media evaluation technology offers hope, inspiration and is a lot of fun to use. Full Story »

The article gives a comprehensive and fair review of NewsTrust as an app, but it doesn't qualify the statements about the "low-quality web of news content" which NewsTrust seeks to remedy. A comparison to other tools available and more background about the state of news on the web would have been helpful to provide the review some more context. I have also indicated my conflict of interest, but I thank Mr. Kirkpatrick for the coverage.

Very good overview of our new MyNews offering. Rather than try to explain it myself, I'd much rather point people to this very well-written article.

Great article about MyNews -- our personalized news filter, which launched yesterday on NewsTrust. Marshall Kirpatrick, lead writer at ReadWriteWeb, provides a thorough, factual overview of this new service, along with detailed screenshots and accurate feature descriptions. A few more sources would have helped provide more perspective, but this breaking news item is well-researched, with good insights about the impact of this service.

It's rare when an article about you is 100% correct, and this one takes the prize! Disclosure: I am executive director at NewsTrust, and am abstaining from having my rating counted for this story, due to conflicts of interest.

It isn't the New York Times, and it isn't Wired, but this chap seems to like the app. Oops, spoke too soon, it has gone viral! Maybe I should try to be world famous for making one small suggestion for one feature of the tool ;-)

Yes, I rate the NewsTrust as a good initiative to pick up a challenging project - facilitating good journalism. I hope the new service would turn out to be useful, but I still don't know how journalism can be freed or good since it is not at the whim or hands of the journalists.

a very positive, fairly thorough description of newstrust's mynews page. the images show the writer has tried this out for himself, lending credence to his enthusiastic endorsement. what i'd like to have seen is more on the usefulness of newstrust itself and in a cultural context beyond the individual.

I sift through media all day long to bring people the best information primarily in business, social media and technology. I think this article was informative and this is something I will definetely use. I love a feeling of community around news, hearing different perspectives, and opinions. This article was written by people who write a blog I read every day and totally trust what they have to say!
