This is a good story about money being spent to change or warn members of Congress. Like for elections some kind of limit must be made or our representative democracy will be sold to the highest bidder.

Some of the best journalism clearly restates the obvious

You would think that by this time congressmen and senators would be 'on to' and immune to the pursuasions of lobyists. One can't help but suspect that someone's palm is being crossed with silver.
