Having been exposed by Politifact for lying last week about Wisconsin having a budget surplus, Maddow on Thursday hypocritically defended herself by playing nine cherry-picked words from the broadcast in question while disgracefully calling her critics homophobes (video follows with transcript and commentary):
NewsTrust Rating: 2.8 average - 5 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

ClimateGate Totally Ignored By TV News Outlets Except Fox

NewsBusters - By Noel Sheppard - Nov. 24 (Opinion) - The Obama administration has another reason to hate Fox: it appears to be the only national television news outlet in America interested in the growing ClimateGate scandal. Despite last Friday morning's bombshell that hacked e-mail messages from a British university suggested a conspiracy by some of the world's leading global warming alarmists -- many with direct ties to the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change -- to manipulate temperature data, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and NBC through Monday evening have completely ignored the subject.

LexisNexis searches indicate that NPR appears to also be part of this news boycott.
NewsTrust Rating: 2.1 average - 3 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Surprised by the resounding turnout, the usual lefty talking heads on MSNBC, specifically on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" and "The Rachel Maddow Show," explained the protests away as being fake grassroots aka AstroTurf.
NewsTrust Rating: 1.8 average - 12 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Despite the recent global warming alarmism in the media that Arctic ice might melt away completely from the North Pole this summer, the latest scientific observations show that Arctic ice has actually increased by nearly a half million square miles over this time last year. This is in stark contrast to the Chicken Little hysteria that was being promoted less than a month ago on the CBS Early Show as reported by Kyle Drennen on June 27 here in NewsBusters:
NewsTrust Rating: 1.6 average - 8 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Boone Pickens has put into windmill farms.

Predictably, Brokaw missed this opportunity to be the first major, mainstream media member to ask the Global Warmingist-in-Chief about his own investments, and just how much he stands to make if America does indeed shift all of its electricity production to renewable sources of energy.
NewsTrust Rating: 2.9 average (not enough reviews) - See Review » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Brent Bozell at the top of the Sunday Outlook section in today's Washington Post and think the world's turned upside down. But the Post asked Brent to write a message to John McCain from conservatives. Message: "Think real conservatives will vote for John McCain? Don't count on it." It means don't take us for granted.

But on the Post website today, a slightly different version emerges on the home page, as if Brent said McCain was toast: "If you think real conservatives will vote for John McCain, think again." H
NewsTrust Rating: 1.9 average - 4 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

General Kerr's, whose question came 47 minutes into the 9 pm Eastern hour the debate, is also part of the Servicemembers' Legal Defense Network's advisory council, an organization "dedicated to ending discrimination against and harassment of military personnel affected by 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' and related forms of intolerance"

NewsBusters - By Tim Graham - Oct. 28 (Opinion) - In her interview tour of left-wing, Bush-hating Web sites, Valerie Plame threw a bone to Firedoglake (the one that refers to Joe Lieberman as "Rape Gurney Joe" for not forcing Catholic hospitals to provide "emergency contraception" for rape victims). She also granted one to BuzzFlash.com, which just this week awarded its "Wings of Justice" Award to Pete "Bush Is Amused by Soldiers Dying" Stark. She amused them with lines like "I want a t-shirt that says, 'I was slimed by the Republican administration.' You can make a lot of money on that."

But the really interesting section of the interview is her continuing hatred for The Washington Post. (On NBC and elsewhere, she compared the Post editorialists to Pravda, the hoary state propaganda newspaper of the Soviet Union.) Here, the BuzzFlash guru and Plame take turns bashing the Post:
NewsTrust Rating: 1.5 average - 3 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

NewsBusters - By Brad Wilmouth - Oct. 14 (Opinion) - During an interview by GQ's Wil Hylton posted on the magazine's blog on September 20, CNN founder Ted Turner blamed Fox News for pushing America into the Iraq war, tagging the conflict as "Rupert's war," and contended that he is more afraid of America's possession of nuclear weapons than he is of the prospect of rogue states like Iran obtaining such weapons. Turner: "I'm much more worried about our nuclear arsenal than theirs. Iran, at best, can get a few nuclear weapons. We have tens of thousands. We have to get rid of them." The CNN founder even repeated complimentary words toward North Korea, as he rationalized the country's problem with starvation. Turner: "They were nice to me. There weren't a lot of fat people walking around. They were all thin. And being thin is healthier than being fat." (Transcript follows)
NewsTrust Rating: 2.6 average - 4 Reviews » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer
