The Los Angeles Times (also known as the LA Times) is a daily newspaper published in Los Angeles, California and distributed throughout the Western United States. It is the second-largest metropolitan newspaper in the United States and the fourth-most widely distributed newspaper in the United States.[3] Its daily circulation reported in October 2008 was 739,000,[4] down from a peak of 1.1 million.[5] In addition to its print product, the Times also publishes a 24-hour news Web site at latimes.com.
