The Concord Monitor is the daily newspaper for Concord, the state capital of New Hampshire. It also covers substantial portions of surrounding Merrimack and Belknap counties in New Hampshire's Lakes Region. In 1999 the Columbia Journalism Review said that the Monitor was the best small paper in America.[1] Its website includes blogs by editor Mike Pride and editorial page editor Ari Richter (the latter concerning the upcoming 2008 New Hampshire primary).
