Asahi - Apr. 02 (News Report) - Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Saturday water contaminated with radiation exceeding 1,000 millisieverts per hour was detected in a shaft near an outlet of No. 2 reactor of its crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.

TEPCO says damage possible to reactor pressure containers

Asahi - Mar. 29 (News) - TEPCO officials told reporters Monday morning that despite the continuous pumping in of water to cool down the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 reactor cores, water levels were not rising as expected, meaning the pressure containers may not be completely sealed off.

Radiation from Fukushima exceeds Three Mile Island

Asahi - Mar. 25 (News Report) - Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant, crippled by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, has discharged more radiation than the infamous Three Mile Island nuclear plant in the United States, according to calculations by the central government.
