An interesting article that linked to interesting supportive sites. I was disappointed though simply because they simply skimmed the surface. Although my rating is a 4.3, I'd give it only a 'B."

Nothing but a fluff piece. Nothing wrong with it but not worth the time.

Ferns and Nathan Henderson-James packed a lot of information into a short article. the so-called 'voter fraud' is one of the most hyped non-story over the last few years. the real atrocity is 'election fraud' = when voters are disenfranchised, machines sabotaged, etc.

Litte to add. Horton does his usual excellent job. Impeachment of Mukasey should be a priority.

The trouble with all the studies, is that they have to include subjective analysis. rainy did a good job of sifting through the conflicting opinions, the basis of the analysis and the arguments behind it. I find the dems usually use studies toin an attempt to debunk the Repug's claim of 'liberal media', while the Cons use them as 'prove.'

Newsbusters is a right-wing propaganda rag that is so often full of distortions omissions, and/or outright LIES. While there might be a slight uptick in ice in July, I found the trend lines in the National Snow and Ice Data Center referenced article negates Gladnick's attack on the basic premise of the Arctic Ice problem. I found the Conor quote to be deceptive and taken out of context. Two paragraphs further down we find: "Seasoned polar scientists believe the chances of a totally ice-free North Pole this summer are greater than 50:50...." I'll get my global warming stories fro more reputable sources.

Larisa Alexandrovna' reporting on this corrupt bunch of thugs in Alabama and Mississippi is terrific and I highly recommend her related stories. Rigged elections, DoJ cover-ups and firings are counter all democratic traditions.

I would have like more information about the 'suspension of the rules." The story was fine as far as it went, but more background and explanation of the political nuances would have been more beneficial.

I have to reccommended only for info - I read the article without knowing who wrote it and keep thinking, "what a scared gutless bully who is getting his a** kicked." I think my interpretation was correct. "“Another clone, this one a local version of Media Matters known as Colorado Media Matters, was created two years ago to harass journalists and editorial writers who don't push the liberal line.” OUT RIGHT BALD FACED LIE. Mediamatters just wants 'raid and balance" something Little Freddie doesn't know about. “Republican… hounded for months by Colorado Confidential… for allowing a state employee to run a side business and not reporting a supposed conflict of interest too microscopic to be worth explaining.” Not fair ... Scott Horton & Larisa Alexandrovna have done wonderful work in exposing the cesspool in Alabama and Mississippi. The corrupt incest relationship Rove, the DOJ, the US Attorneys and the local political hacks needs full Congressional investigation. Beyerstein's article rises to the high benchmark they set. th links at the bottom of the stroy are MUST READS!

He's just another dead bible-thuppin' homophobic racist. regardless of now much effort the right-wings exerts, they can't change that fact. Gizzi's glorified obit was outrageously omitted any meaningful criticism and even failed to acknowledge the hate Helms preached. I would recommend it article only to those who wanted a good example of Orwellian reputation reconstruction Mom told me to speak only good of the dead. Jess Helms is dead- GOOD!

Th stench of this behind closed doors thuggery is typical o this bounch of crooks!. Living in an area that had a couple of sweetheart Nat'l Forest 'swaps I sympathize with montanans. The story itself i well written. It is the first I had heard of this assault. I'm pleased it is shining some sunlight into the pit of slime. I assume if Reich-wing radio even acknowledges it it will be to ridicule the envionazis and tree huggers.

Can't add much more to the comments already made. Just more proof the Repugs have nothing but red herrings, distortions, misinformation, propaganda, and outright LIES to run on.

I read the WSJ story and trust this analsis much more than the McClatchy's: "GOP attack machine missing in action in 2008 election" The true deviousness & damage of running the Slime Boat attacks is that the media reports on the controversy and casual watchers and listeners forget where they heard it and they tend to accept the charges as true. I've been impressed with the initial reactions to the couple of attack ads that have run already. Come back hardfast, and with the TRUTH. Call the LYING bas*ards, LYING bas*ards.

Taguba has more honor in his little finger than Bush and the boys have in the whole damn White House and the Pentagon Pansies have exhibited in over 6 years. McClatchy prints more truth in one month than the party line prostitutes publish in a month.

It was a good article but there was nothing new in it for me. "Mrs. McCain did it to undercut the image that she is too fake." I thought it might have been to demonstrate she had stopped abusing drugs. I totally agree with the last sentence.

I was looking for the statement Obama "pledged" or "promised" which is the talking point I hear most frequently. I felt the article use of "turnabout" was a good neutral description. including the background and additions to the questionnaire offered needed facts. I too feel at least a passing reference to McCain's campaign finance troubles should have been included.

Knowing about the NRO and knowing it changed its criteria every time it has ranked a candidate, I thought it was not exposed enough.
