Though a short article, it gets the main points across. Public officials want the reservoir to be used for drinking water, while bikers want to bike there. The article cites people on both sides of the debate. Though most articles concerning the topic seem to side with the desire for compromise for bikers, this story ends with a view point from the protective side.

This article cites several public officials, and biking enthusiasts. It presents a good argument in saying that this is one of the few places for city riders to go, and it has become illegal to ride here. With fewer riding options, city riders must travel further to ride. The article also does a good job of pointing out what city officials can do, and that there are funds available to do it.

This article does a great job with presenting numbers. It is interesting to see the amount fines can be worth for trespassing and the amount of fines that have been given out already this year. The article well represents the civilian side in wanting to take advantage of the natural haven while it also demonstrates the enforcements point in protecting a watershed and wanting people to stay out. The personal parts of the article are also relate able and help readers identify with the issue.

Though good points may have been presented arguing for bikers' rights in the Loch Raven area, no official sources were cited. Given any credibility in the statements made, this article may be more convincing. It still shows the main areas of interest and debate surrounding the issue of bikers' rights at Loch Raven.

This article could be better with some information from city officials responsible for t his matter. The article does mention that such officials fail to comment and this is the unfortunate lack of information. Otherwise the article does a good job of presenting the both arguments including run off vs. responsible trail building.

The story was both personal and wide spread. It presented the difficulties both personally and economically of home abandonment so all readers could find interest. It also discussed the local issue as well as its relation to other cities and the larger context of the issue. Good use of sources and economic figures.
